Keep Going
As one of the co-writers behind “Keep Going,” a collaborative book that amplifies the voices of eight remarkable women, I’ve had the privilege of delving into the depths of strength, courage, and perseverance. Through this project, I’ve witnessed the incredible resilience that resides within us all, and I’m committed to bridging the gaps that often separate us. My daily aspiration is to dissolve “the space between us,” fostering understanding and empathy that leads us to “see the good in ourselves and each other.”
My journey has been a colorful tapestry woven with diverse threads. I graduated Cum Laude from California State University Long Beach, a milestone that marked the beginning of my exploration into the arts of communication and storytelling. I was humbled to be a nominee at the National College Media Conference in Louisville, Kentucky, an experience that further ignited my passion for sharing stories that resonate.
My early steps into the world of entertainment were a testament to my desire to express and connect. From beauty pageants to modeling, acting to TV appearances on shows like “Sabado Gigante” and “CityTv,” each moment was a brushstroke on the canvas of my journey. Notably, I was cast on Senorita Bogota, a pageant that paved the way for representing Colombia in the Miss Universe contest – a dream that spoke of breaking boundaries and embracing cultures.
Stepping onto the stages of the renowned LA Opera House and making appearances in TV/film productions like “Big Love” and “The Ugly Truth,” I found myself immersed in the world of performing arts. With every role, every line delivered, and every lyric penned, I discovered layers of myself waiting to be unveiled. I became a multi-talented actor, a lyricist whose words found their melody, a presenter who shared stories with passion, and a bilingual voiceover artist who gave life to words in two languages.
But beyond the roles and titles, I have come to understand the essence of who I am. My journey has led me to a profound realization: by recognizing our authentic selves, we open the door to something greater than our individuality. We become part of a shared human experience, contributing to a narrative that transcends borders and speaks to the core of what it means to be alive.
Make Room For Something Bigger Than Yourself
In a world that often seems shrouded in shadows, where uncertainty and doubt can easily take hold, there exists a powerful beacon that emanates from within us – a radiant light that has the potential to guide us through even the darkest of times. This light-space is a place of unwavering certainty, boundless faith, profound love, serene peace, contagious enthusiasm, and unapologetic authenticity. It’s the essence of our truest selves, the core of our being that holds the promise of a life well-lived.
But, just as there is light, so too is there darkness. It looms on the edges of our reality, sometimes subtly and at other times overwhelmingly. In a world inundated with social media’s curated narratives and constant comparisons, the darkness can seep into our hearts and minds, casting doubt upon our worth and purpose. It’s a reminder that life is a tapestry woven with both threads of brilliance and shades of obscurity.
Here, at The LightHouseKeeper, we embark on a profound journey to explore and embrace this duality. We recognize that the pursuit of our light is intertwined with acknowledging the existence of the darkness. Our responsibility lies not only in recognizing and nurturing the light within us, but also in discerning the shadows that seek to undermine it.
